Evachill drink ideas: Mimosas

Here at Evachill, one of our all time favourite drinks is a mimosa. Let’s be honest, there’s no better start to the day than with sparkling wine…and orange juice. So our drink spotlight today falls onto the wonderful mimosa!

How to make the perfect mimosa

Ingredients:

375ml chilled orange juice

375ml chilled Brut champagne

 

Recipe:

1. Fill your Evachill bottle 1/2 full with orange juice.

2. Top up the rest of the bottle with champagne.

3. Enjoy the perfect mimosa.

 

Top tip: add 1 tbsp. of Grand Marnier to your mimosa for an extra orangey kick.

Mimosas are traditionally enjoyed in the morning but we don’t see why they shouldn’t be enjoyed all day. We recommend making your mimosa in the morning, taking your Evachill to the beach and having a chilled cocktail overlooking the ocean.

Alternatively, why not make your batch of mimosas in your Evachill bottle and invite some friends around for brunch. Then you can all enjoy chilled drinks all day.

How to make the perfect Buck’s Fizz

A buck’s fizz cocktail is very similar to a mimosa as they share the same ingredients. Traditionally, the only difference between buck’s fizz and mimosas is the ratio of orange juice to champagne.

 

Ingredients:

250ml chilled orange juice

500ml chilled Brut champagne

 

Recipe:

1. Fill your Evachill bottle 1/3 full with orange juice.

2. Top up the rest of the bottle with champagne.

3. Enjoy the perfect buck’s fizz.

 

Top tip: replace orange juice with any other citrus juice, such as grapefruit juice, for a slightly different take on the classic buck’s fizz. 

As you can see, both the perfect mimosa and the perfect buck’s fizz contain a nice amount of bubbles. We always get asked if sparkling wine can go in our Evachill bottles. Of course it can! There’s nothing more tragic than warm bubbles.
